Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist – Boston/San Francisco
We have an excellent opportunity to join our rapidly growing digital team as we continue to enhance and diversify our services and clients. The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist’s primary function will be to accomplish our clients’ SEO goals, which range from improving organic search ranking to generating sales leads. The individual will also build out processes to support the Agency’s own SEO work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing and executing on strategies that will help accomplish Schwartz clients’ SEO goals
- Designing and executing search engine strategies for inbound marketing and lead generation
- Contributing to the Agency’s new business proposals
- Conducting ongoing training of Schwartz Communications staff ensure they possess a strong understanding of SEO and can integrate that understanding into their work
- Building out internal processes to support the Agency’s SEO efforts
- Monitoring SEO and online marketing blogs for changes and new happenings in the search industry
- Conducting keyword research as needed for Schwartz and its clients
- Analyzing competitors of Schwartz clients to better understand their SEO strategies and then making appropriate recommendations to clients
- Regularly reporting to clients on SEO work and making recommendations on strategy adjustments as needed over time
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience working in a related role at a digital agency or an in-house marketing group
- Superb communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to set and meet deadlines, proactively identify problems/improvements in accounts, juggle multiple projects and be comfortable communicating with a wide variety of clients (including C-level executives) and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, concepts and trends
- Strong technical background and/or understanding of website architecture
- Web development skills, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Flash
- Web platform experience, including CMS and web server configuration

Vice President Consumer – Boston/San Francisco/Chicago/New York/ Los Angeles
Schwartz Communications is seeking a Vice President/Sr. Vice President to lead the Consumer practice.
Opportunity to join a public relations industry leader in healthcare, technology and cleantech as it rapidly diversifies services and clients. This position is responsible for the planning, oversight, growth and profitability of the Consumer practice group agency-wide. The candidate must demonstrate outstanding ability to generate clients and revenues, deliver strategic counsel on brand and reputation management, and develop and execute creative media campaigns that garner results. The right candidate will have an outstanding rolodex of industry contacts and clients.
This is a high-level, senior management position, and the candidate must be open to relocating to California, Massachusetts, or possess the skills and drive to open a new strategic agency location.

Relationships

Account Manager, Healthcare
Sick of commuting into central London? Come and join our growing team of fun-loving professionals in Richmond and take a walk along the river during your lunchbreak! Schwartz Communications is a leading technology and healthcare agency, headquartered in Boston, with offices in San Francisco, London and Stockholm. The London office, established in 2007, has recently expanded and moved out to Richmond and we are now looking to recruit an account manager for our healthcare team with around five years of PR experience. We have a range of healthcare clients, some UK only and some international, drawn from the consumer, medical device, diagnostics, charitable and professional body sectors. The ideal candidate would be comfortable dealing with medical clients, surgeons, microbiologists and NHS managers and have a proven track record in packaging stories at both national print and broadcast level and for medical trade journals. You would be expected to work both as part of a team, often on global accounts liaising with teams in other offices, but also be happy to lead and manage projects autonomously, answering directly to the client. The role will include an element of new business work and occasional international travel.
You:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in healthcare PR
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of and be interested in different fields of healthcare and be familiar with typical campaign strategies
- Experience of dealing with and promoting peer-reviewed articles
- Excellent medical press release and feature writing skills
- Super organised, with fine-tuned attention to detail and proven ability of ‘pulling together’ all strands of a PR account, allocating tasks and managing upwards and downwards
- Experience of new media formats such as blogging and Twitter
- Creative idea development & strategic plan generation
- Strong pitching skills
- Adaptive to working with teams in other offices, across different cultures
- Healthcare contacts at the nationals and contacts at medical publications are preferable

The account executive will work on multiple accounts and is responsible for day-to-day media relations, generating written press materials and preparing client reports.
